Your Support Makes All The Difference

I will do my best to reassure you that I am surely the candidate for you. I hope that you all will help me in this fight for support for this election. Don't forget, your support makes all the difference, so even just showing your support to your friends and family can be helpful!

Did You Know?

Did you know that it was George Washington who set the standard for only running two terms? Washington thought that a presidency lasting more than two terms would appear "king-like." The first president to challenge this standard was Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was president 16 years running! (1932-1944) this was shortly before the 22nd Amendment which banned anyone from being president more than 10 consecutive years. Though I hope to have a relatively long presidency (as long as it can be) I am in favor of this Amendment, because I believe that only with new ideas will our country progress, and this Amendment promotes those new ideas through the new presidents it brings in.

Why I am Fit for the Job

I realize that the position of president is a very important and stressful job, but I believe that I am ready to take on that responsibility. I believe that my naval experience will help me greatly with the position as Commander-in-Chief. I am known for doing my best to make fair decisions due to the fact that I never form an opinion until after I understand all of the facts, and my opinions are not easily tainted by other people’s biases, which I think would be very beneficial if I were to appoint supreme and federal court judges, or foreign ambassadors. I am fairly knowledgeable about foreign countries and how they relate to our own, which would make writing up treaties with other countries quite a bit easier. I am also a fairly eloquent man, and hope to be able to deliver the State of the Union address (as well as many others) in words that everyone can understand.

A Little About Myself

I was born on August 29th of 1936 in the Panama Canal Zone to my two loving parents, Admiral John Sydney McCain Jr. and Roberta McCain. I now live in Phoenix, Arizona with my wife Cindy, with whom I have had four handsome sons and three beautiful daughters. I am an Episcopalian. I graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1958, and then the National War College in 1974. My political experience includes being a United States Representative from 1983 to 1987, I have also been a United States Senator since 1987.

The Beginning of a Journey

Hello all, my name is Senator John McCain, and I would like to announce that I am running in the 2008 election for President. I can assure you that I am a good leader with plenty of political experience to get me started, and I am encouraging you now to support me on this journey and help me to complete it by winning this upcoming election. I hope you look for me in the news and upcoming events!
